RJ reveals the first collection of its new line ARRAW

Taking after the Titanic-DNA and Moon Dust models, the design of the all-new ARRAW line is a revolution in as of itself. It remains true to the RJ DNA through its bumpers; shaped lugs; and iconic and proprietary arrow-shaped hands that lent their name to this product line.

A well balanced, sturdier and sleeker 45mm case; a circular bezel opening on the dial; a screwed-in crown; push-buttons inspired by pistons; the 4 iconic bumpers – a key trait of the brand’s DNA – in black rubber, matching the composite elements ornamenting the polished, satin-finished lugs.

ARRAW sports a practical and fast-working strap changing system that doesn’t need tools to function: the strap can be released with a simple click by pushing simultaneously on the two lug screws. On the clasp, a release lever allows the strap to detach from the new deployant buckle which blends harmoniously with the case. A variety of interchangeable rubber and alligator straps was launched with the first models of the collection.

The base of the dial is sun-brushed, galvanized and gradient-painted, then coated with transparent lacquer giving it utmost depth. The chronograph’s galvanic black counters integrate the dial, and are surrounded by circular displays that match the satin-finished SuperLuminova hands.

The self-winding RJ 2040 chronograph movement displays a ‘30 minutes’ counter at 9 o’clock, a ‘12 hours’ counter and a date window at 6 o’clock, and a small second at 3 o’clock. The watch is waterproof up to 100 meters.

CEO of RJ Marco Tedeschi shared: “I am extremely happy and proud to present here in Basel this first creation and the brand’s new backbone, which was produced by our RJ team in a record time of two months. We have envisioned the ARRAW collection as a basis for further developments in which we can integrate our future manufacture movements.”

ARRAW is available in 45mm and 42mm, with male and female models in titanium, red gold and black ceramic, a first for RJ. The first timepieces will be out in June 2018.
