Five things you need to know about the Supermarine range

THE BREMONT SUPERMARINE RANGE

When designing the first Supermarine watches, Co-Founders Nick and Giles wanted to build a robust but beautifully engineered diving watch that was very practical in design, but also tied into the brand’s strong aviation heritage. The watch had to also hold its own against any other mechanical professional diving watch in terms of engineering, design and price point.

1. AVIATION HERITAGE

The range was named as a tribute to the brothers’ love of the iconic British aircraft manufacturer responsible for the Supermarine S6B Schneider Trophy Seaplane and of course, the incredible Supermarine Spitfire.

2. WATER RESISTANT UP TO 2000M

900m below sea level is no place to find out that your watch won’t function at 900m below sea level. That’s why all our dive watches are built to chronometer specification and water resistant to 300m, 500m, or 2000m (depending on the model).

3. NEW EXHIBITION CASE BACK

For the first time with the Supermarine Range, the new S501 features an exhibition case back, enabling the beautifully finished movement to be showcased. Much of the development for the thicker crystal case back came from a military project.

4. TESTED BEYOND ENDURANCE

The Supermarine has become a bit of an explorers’ watch of choice due to its durability. Elite military forces both in the UK and US wear the Supermarine line, alongside some inspirational ex-military like the Row2Recovery duo who have just smashed the world record for the fastest row across the Atlantic.

5. BREMONT ANTI-SHOCK

All closed back models feature Bremont’s unique anti-shock technology, whereby a rubberised movement mount encloses the inner workings. These models also incorporate an anti-magnetic Faraday Cage to re-route harmful magnetism around the movement.
